1. Soda. The soda that is featured in this list is the worst for staining over time. The caramel color of soda may not cause stains as much as the sugar and acids it contains.

Sugary drinks can cause more staining because they attract more bacteria. Acids can also wear down your enamel, making it more porous. The dentin underneath becomes more visible, which makes your teeth appear yellower. Porousness makes it easy for stains and bacteria to adhere to the teeth’s surface.

2. Red wine. Do your teeth look a bit gray? Red wine could be the culprit if graying teeth is more of a problem than yellowing. In moderation, red wine is heart-healthy but tannins can stain your teeth. Red wine may help to prevent tooth decay!

Its staining ability is due to the combination of acid with its vibrant color. To remedy this problem, you should reduce the amount of you consume and rinse your mouth afterward.

Should you brush more frequently? Doubtless, brushing twice daily is the right thing to do. We can see that acidic drinks and foods are the main cause of staining. Brushing your teeth while you have acid on them will make the problem worse and accelerate enamel loss. Choose a whitening product to remove stains and rinse well after drinking or eating.
